Vampires and Dhampires.
These creatures have a long history and strong magic. They can use wizard spells, but also can use what they call blood magic. By using their own blood they can summon animal partners, once summoned their familiars do not leave their side. They can cloak themselves with their blood magic as well as temporarily control, or read the emotions of those who have taken their blood before the blood leaves their system which generally takes 48 hours. The strength of the bond depends on the amount of blood taken. Dhampires are stronger in normal magic than their full blooded relatives, but their blood magic is not as strong.
Vampires and Dhampires are sensitive to sunlight but their scientists have created a serum that they take every month to prevent severe reactions to the sun. They do tend to avoid sunlight whenever possible as they get sun burned badly after prolonged contact.
Faeries.
From the traditional winged Fairy to the Merperson to the elf these creatures are very in tune with natural magic, as well as other abilities depending on their races. They tend to be a very proud race, though divided. Upon their turning thirteen they choose whether to be part of the Light or Dark Fae, generally choosing the side their family has chosen.
Shapeshifters.
There are two types. Those who can change their physical features, but . Similiar to the abilities of Metamorphmagi, but to a greater extent. They can go as far as to change their gender if they choose, if only temporarily. The other type are those who can change into a specific animals. They can only change into one animal, based on their family line. They can use a full shift and a partial shift. Humanoid versions of their animal.
*--Other creatures will be accepted, many of them will probably fall under the blanket term Fae. Goblins and such will be accepted as well.
