About the Bennett Academy
Charles Bennett Academy of Magic has been around since he first came to America in 1621 with the settlers. Upon learning there were also Native American wizards, he offered a the Chief a place next to him. They taught their students together both traditional English, and traditional Native American Magic.
The first building was burned down in 1692 during the Salem Witch trials. That's when Charles Bennett Academy of Magic decided to put up wards around the island repelling Muggles. The school was rebuilt and more and more wings have been built onto the school as the student body grew.
The Houses of Charles Bennett are named from Arthurian history.
The House of Arthur
This is America's answer to Gryffindor. They are loyal and brave. While the House of Arthur is not prejudice against muggleborns and halfbloods they have more pureblood members than not. They are a friendly bunch and are often described as 'they party house' which is probably due to the fact that they are closest to the kitchens.
The House of Guinevere
This is America's answer to Hufflepuff. They are hardworking, trustworthy and energetic. Most students think this house was named improperly, or as a long running joke considering Guinevere's disloyalty. They tend to have more halfbloods and muggle borns than other houses. The reason is unknown to them.
The House of Morgan Le Fay
America's answer to Ravenclaw. Intelligent and witty. Many of it's members feel that other houses are beneath them. They are after all the smart ones. Just, don't ask one to do your homework for you they find it offensive. They have an equal amount of Muggleborns and Halfbloods as they do Pureblood students.
The House of Mordred
America's answer to Slytherin. Similarly to Mordred and Arthur themselves, the two houses do not get along. Unlike Slytherin the house is not prejudice against halfbloods and muggleborns. They clash a bit with the House of Morgana because of their conflicting arrogant natures.
About Dennison University
It has just opened this year, 1999 it's opening it's doors to students for the first time. It's called Darla Dennison University for Magical Beings for a reason. Darla Dennison, the Headmistress of the school, is half Faerie. She's decided that non-wizard, but magical beings, needed a place to study as well. She attended Charles Bennett and decided to open the school just on the other side of the island. After getting it Cleared with the other school she began construction and hiring. Now it has some into reality. New students, who have not attended a magical school, are sorted, and students who have attended a magical school are resorted. Many get put in the house that reflected their old one but some students are surprised.
The House of Pegasus
The house of the brave and loyal. Considering the school is brand new, not much is known about the house statistics. Pegasus students are ready for an adventure
The House of Delphinus
[/size][/justify]The trustworthy and hardworking get sorted here. Like Pegasus, the house does not have any statistics yet, they are holding on for the ride.
The House of Noctua
The intelligent and witty get sorted here. Like the other two houses, their statistics are unknown. They are making very neat plans to make sure their ride goes smoothly.
The House of Vulpecula
The ambitious and cunning get sorted here. Like the rest of the houses not much is known about them. They tend to make things go their way.
About Webb and Cooper Alley
Shops and Eateries
There is currently a wand shop, a book shop, a bank a supplies store and a robe shop in Cooper alley, but nothing in Webb. More shops, and buildings can and will be added once shop owners decide to create them. There will be a sign up sheet for that in the Sign ups section of the Characters Category.
